Eurasia-Pacific Uninet

An Austrian academic network connecting universities, researchers and educators.

The EPU vision is to provide the platform for academic cooperation between Austria and partner institutions in the Eurasia‐Pacific regions. We develop and strengthen ties within this network to support excellence, equality and sustainability, and to serve as a best practice model for international collaboration.
  • Austrian higher education institutions through Eurasia-Pacific Uninet welcome partners from major world regions: East Asia, Central Asia - Caucasus, South Asia - Pacific.
  • Eurasia-Pacific Uninet provides a communication framework to develop joint proposals in research and education, mobility schemes and sharing of insights through publications and conferences.
  • Eurasia-Pacific Uninet is focused on facilitating multilateral academic cooperation, guided by common goals and principles of trust and open science.
  • EPU serves as a platform for academic cooperation across all disciplines.

EPU Activities

Eurasia-Pacific Uninet is a network enabling actions by partners and consortia:

  • student and faculty mobility also in frameworks like Erasmus+
  • initiating joint research project applications
  • joint centers of expertise and excellence in specific disciplines
  • conferences and publications
  • exploratory projects providing seed funding for initiating multilateral research and capacity building

     

  • summer schools and short intensive programmes
  • curriculum development, review and assessment
  • joint courses in online and blended formats
  • access to scholarships research funding opportunities
  • international supervision of doctoral candidates
  • joint study and double degree programmes
